Behind the Music

You’re a multi passionate student and you’ve got a billion things going on - classes, rehearsals, clubs - all while still trying to respect and honor your sense of self . Do you ever find yourself wanting to practice without stress or pressure or guilt?

Then I'm seriously so glad you're here!

I’m Caroline, and I work with woodwind students who are looking to push their classroom expectations and find their unique voice as a musician.

I work to build their toolbox to include more confidence in playing, while building self-awareness and healthy practice habits. The catch? It's without all the self sabotage and harmful self-talk. It is my goal to build up empowered, self-aware musicians with a supportive community of others standing with them!

With a background in Music Education and a current understanding of the expectations and pressures of academia, I've used my experiences to build an individualized approach for each student that allows for personal growth and goal setting. Having spent the majority of my degree figuring out how to do more than just survive, my desire is to see students thrive in the spaces that once overwhelmed them.

Thinking about working together but wanting to see some of my credentials?

I hold my Bachelors of Music Education from the University of North Florida and I am a current Masters of Music in Flute Performance candidate at UNF.

A current woodwind performer, I am entering my 3rd season with the River City Concert Band as a tenor saxophonist.

I have been an active member of the National Flute Association, as well as the Florida Flute Association for over 7 years!

And I continue to be an active member of the Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) and Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA), even though I am not in one specific classroom.

I work with bands around Northeast Florida as a clinician and substitute music teacher, utilizing my education and flexible schedule to support my local colleagues and their programs.

Professional Testimonial

“Caroline’s knowledge of woodwind pedagogy and artistry are second to none. As a music educator, having her on staff working with our students at Fletcher High School is invaluable. Her patience and work ethic as a private lesson teacher and sectional leader has made my job as a band director easier and I am so happy that I decided to bring her on board.”

- Randy Salinas, Director of Bands at Fletcher High School
